Vacation- Native and "berry sharp"

I am not much of a fan of the desert. I love the trees, the grass, and the more midwestern type of foliage. However, if you look close enough, you can find beauty in everything; even sharp, prickly Cactus.

Nanny and Opa have quite a few Cactus throughout their yard. We were a little concerned that Izabel would hurt herself even accidently. She did wonderful though and not once came in contact with a Cactus. Her and Nanny walked around each one carfeully and Izabel would exclaim, "Berry Sharp, Don't Touch." There were many different sizes and she would announce that as well; "Baby Sharp, Don't Touch".

I did end up with a Cactus thorn in my heel after venturing for a walk. It was easily extracted by a pair of tweezers and thankfully I have had no further complications. We are so glad Izzy and Emmy didn't have any run-ins with a Cactus.
