How Long Will It Last?

Izabel turned two in February and Emily is just over 3 months. This last Monday, I moved Emily from her bassinet in our room to her crib. Both girls share a room so we thought that having them sleep together would be a disaster. It turns out it's not. Emily has done great in her crib with the exception that my once sleeping through the night angel has decided she DOES need to eat every 3-4 hours.
In addition to Emily sleeping in her crib, I decided it was high time Izabel slept in her bed as well. Izabel began in her crib at 3 months as well. She liked it for a few months and then was terrified of it. She refused to sleep anywhere but the living room floor. A nice wide open space without bars. Since Izabel turned 10 months old, we have been trying to get her to sleep in a toddler bed in her room. No such luck. She sleeps well but she makes the couch her bed every night. On Monday, along with moving Emily, I have been making Izabel sleep in her own bed in her room. It's been working out nicely, it just takes about an hour to get both of them to sleep. The first three nights Izabel did awake in the night and move herself and her belongings to the couch. I'm not sure when she would move but I'd find her in the night while checking on Emily or the next morning. Last night, the fourth night, Izabel managed to sleep through the night in her bed without moving to the couch. Such an accomplishment for the little bug!

I'm trying to learn from all the Mommies here! Nice haiku!
Sleeping is the best milestone!!
yay for everyone in her own bed. hope it lasts for you!
Good for them...and you! My 3 year old little guy still thinks he needs me right beside him.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Love your header. I'll be back!
Wonderful on the sleep front! I am sure this is great for you, too.
sigh - Faith still sleeps with her head on my chest every single night. Last night I was so tired and I barely heard her say "Mommy, welcome to sweet dreams." I know it is so wrong at this point but we keep waiting to have a house to transition her - and it is just not happening!!! In the meantime, who can resist that type of sweetness??? Except that I'm half paralyzed by the end of the night!!
