Recap of Events

It's been a few days since my last post, but all is well. Just too tied up to do much. So let's see if I can recap the last 4 days or so. The end of the week came and went very quickly. Friday was a busy day as the girls and I did some errands and went to order Izabel's birthday cake. The cake is very cute! It's a huge Princess scene stacked with 4 Princess statues. She didn't seem to mind which one I picked. Izabel was more interested in the baker giving her free sugar cookies, which the baker did.

Friday evening we went downtown to the Country Club Plaza to do some last minute picture shopping. It was SO cold, but we went and the girls did great. We found a new children's boutique called Lillibelle. The boutique is small, but has the most adorable rock wear for your little rock star. Izabel finally got her first pair of Babylegs; blue with polka dots. They are so awesome and I can see why parents love them. I will most likely buy more in the coming weeks. They are one size fits all and both of the girls have switched off wearing them this weekend. As you can see, they are quite cute!

Saturday morning was the big day for Izabel and Emily. Both had appointments for a professional photo shoot. Izabel for her second birthday, Emily because she's that cute, and then both of them together. WOW, What an experience. Izabel is at a stage where she is less cooperative than she used to be, so when she was done, SHE WAS DONE. Emily on the other hand I thought would be good. She was good, but she hardly opened her eyes and we didn't get any smiles. Then came the part where they were being photographed together...Um, No. By this time neither of them wanted anything to do with anything. I wasn't leaving until we had something. Some 75 shots later I still managed to find it hard to choose the ones I wanted. I was thankful we got some acceptable ones out of each, but I hope next time will be much better. They will be ready for pick-up on Valentines Day and of course I will post them as soon as I can.

Saturday afternoon, after our photo shoot, the girls spent the day with Grandma and Papa. It was nice to be out and about with hubby. We finished up the usual shopping list and had lunch. Izabel and Emily both slept for the greater part of their time with Grandma and Papa, but Izabel got her fill of Sydney (the dog) and the toys she keeps there. By early evening I was done in for.

Finally we arrive at Sunday. I cannot complain as I have slept in both days this weekend, hubby has finished all the laundry, done any misc dishes, helped with the grocery shopping, vacuumed, assisted in making cookies from scratch and even let me take a short nap. I can not ask for a better guy! In fact, if you really wanna know the truth, I STILL have not done a load of laundry since Emily was born. Hubby has been great and I am thankful he's mine.

Alright, so that's a recap. Football starts in less than 30 minutes and I need to finish dinner. Check out the pics of Izabel sporting her new Babylegs and scarf and Emily sporting her new crazy hat!
