Congested Rambling and Linky Love

If it's not one thing, it's another right?

The girls are doing better. Izabel's throat is almost healed and her UTI doesn't seem to bother her any longer. She will need to finish off her antibiotics though.

I'd like to take this moment to also congratulate Izabel. I'm officially going to call Izabel Potty Trained in the pee department. We are still working on the poo, but going pee in the potty is no longer a struggle. So, if you don't count all of our not-ready moments in the past, it took Izabel a little more than 7 days to figure it out. *clapping*

Emily still has a few bumps in her mouth, not to mention 3 TEETH! Two bottom teeth and one on top. She's still more cranky than her usual self but she's sleeping through the night and tends to nap better now.

So while they have been recovering, I've been getting sick...AGAIN! This time I refuse to go see a doctor until I have done all I can. I think I have Step Throat. It's rather nasty to gaze inside my mouth, to say the very least. I think I've only had Strep once before and I don't remember it being this bad. I'll spare you the details.

Daddy celebrated his birthday yesterday, as quietly as possible. The girls and I just weren't up to anything. Once we all get well, we are going to celebrate big time! I'm trying to at least muster enough energy to bake him his birthday cake today...maybe.

So in this lull of a bloggin' moment, I'm going to show some linky love. This way you all won't be too bored while I recover.

I've recently found a great blog full of fantastic photos called Mat, Liz and Madeline. Mat takes beautiful pictures and shares the life of a Daddy raising a daughter, whose mother passed away 27 hours after Madeline was born. Liz never saw her baby girl Madeline. It's a nice read and again, his photos are pretty amazing.

The next blog that you should hop on over and read is Mothering Nature. Jackie also takes some beautiful photos of the most beautiful places she visits. Jackie is a recent widow after losing her husband very suddenly this last March. Read about the journey she's on raising her small children.

And finally, NeedledMom. NeedledMom is hatching some very adorable Tortoises right now and has the whole process blogged. It's quite amazing to see how nature works! She and her husband have been married for about 39 years, have 5 kids and 19 grandchildren! She's a great blogger and I think you'll enjoy her.

Don't forget there's quite a few good reads over in my left sidebar under "Oh, The Places you'll Go."

If you are not up to reading those, how about some crazy-good news!

Scientists are making an invisibility cloak? Yeah, because that's high priority right now!

Not to mention that fact that 3 year olds are packing cell phones for back to school!

Don't like it. I think it makes her look old.

Aww, Matt's a Daddy and he's got big plans!

OMG! $910.00!

So there's some light reading for you all to do while I take a short breather. Have a great day!
