Happy 1 Month Birthday Emily Rose

Dearest Emily, I am a couple of days late writing this post to you, but that is pretty good considering how busy you have kept me. I am amazed at how fast this last month has gone. It seems as though you have been a part of this family for so much longer. You fit right in and have made yourself at home. You have grown to be 8 pounds and you must be getting longer because you are fitting into your clothes a little better. You are still very small and 0-3 month clothing is still very big. Newborn fits you best. You continue to sleep well and as a matter of fact, you have slept through the night the last two nights. You also like sleeping in your bassinet, which I like very much. You like to be propped so you actually sleep in your bassinet on your boppy. When you are not sleeping in your bassinet you are asleep on your tummy on mommy's bed. You like your tummy a lot, as did your sister.

You are starting to eat a little better however you still do not drink more than 2 ounces at a time in one feeding period. We are working on that especially since you are sleeping a lot longer in between. I say you are sleeping a lot, but you are awake quite a bit as well. You like to lay in my bed with the the shade open and the sun on your face. I get the best pictures during that time, the early morning sunlight likes you and your sister's face a lot.

Miss Emily, you have been doing so much better in the car as well. You have become very content in your carseat and, like your sister, sleep during our trips in the car. It's a good thing you like the car as we seem to be in it a lot sometimes. Long distance road trips are defiantly in your future.

Daddy and I couldn't be happier with your progress. You have such great neck strength and are on the path to great things. We are so very happy to have you as a part of the family and Izabel especially loves her little sista!
