Fourth of July | Happy Independence Day

We had a typically quiet Fourth this year.  In fact, we didn't even purchase any fireworks.  Instead, we watched two big commercial displays from our front yard.  Our town does very well with their show.







The Littles and I also made some pretty yummy Firecracker Cookies. The recipe was simple and the results were great!

Last weekend, the girls woke up with Chickenpox.  We've been housebound for several days now.  It's a very mild case of the Chickenpox because they are current on their immunizations.  With the exception of some itching the small crops of pox, you wouldn't even know they are sick.  In fact, the crops are small and you can't even see where most of them are.  At any rate, we are waiting for it to pass so we can finish out some Summer fun before school starts.
