My Adorable Little Alexander

While things haven't been chaotic, like I anticipated with three littles, things have still been slightly busier than usual. The girls have adjusted very well to having a little brother. There has not been any aggression or jealousy to speak of and they are more than willing to help with Alexander.

Alexander is also adjusting fairly well. We've run into the same issues with him as we did with the girls. Before we even left the hospital, he was diagnosed with a Protein Allergy. Simply put, he's allergic to anything dairy. A new formula was introduced and he seems to be tolerating it well. In addition to the Protein Allergy, reflux has been an issue. Alexander began taking Zantac and he's improved significantly with that. Almost no spit up at all.

Both the Protein Allergy and the reflux are familiar ground for us. The one thing that is not, is weight loss. Alexander has yet to gain any weight, and in fact, continues to lose weight. I am well aware of weight loss for the first few days after birth, but Alexander dropped from his birth weight and has yet to gain anything back. Hopefully, sooner rather than later, he will start to gain. If not, the Pedi has some plan to put into action, but I didn't even ask what it was yet. haha!

I am recovering pretty well. It seems this C-section was a little bit easier than the rest, but as the days go by I am a little bit more sore than the day before. I hope this too resolves itself and I can cough and mop the floors. LOL!

Thanks to each and every one of you for the emails and calls, letters and gifts. We are so excited to be a family of five and are enjoying every bit of it. *hugs*
