PhotoStory Friday - Starry Night

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

We are trying to enjoy the last bits of Summer and in doing so, we go to a lot of parks. This is our favorite park. The fields are awesome and there is so much room to run. Not to mention a great place for photo taking. I had Daddy take a couple of new profile pics for me but the girls were being cute throughout the evening so of course we took photos of them too.

Things are starting to get busy, but I have tons of photos to upload. I also have my second wedding as a videographer/photographer this Saturday. WooHoo! I still haven't finished editing from last weekends. :)

Princesses.

Princesses.

The second little tidbit I want to share is about the Starry Night photos below. I know they aren't real snazzy, but enlarge them and you will see tons of stars! Daddy and I were out late (and up early) trying to catch a shot of the Perseid Meteor Shower. We missed the morning's peek before but I was able to see 5 in about an hour. COOL, right? I know, I was so excited. However, I was not able to get any in a photo. Those things are moving soo fast!

So Daddy got creative and took the two below shots. We have been brainstorming all day and we are going to try again in the coming days for better star shots. I love these and it's not even a glimpse of how many are really up there.

ALL of those shots are fabulous (of course!), but my favorite is the first one. Holy cow, that is happiness captured!

Your girls are so gorgeous!

(Do I say that every week?)

I like those star shots -- I wish I had stayed up for the meteor shower (I watched it high in the mountains a couple of years ago -- it was terrific).

You've inspired me to try some star shots of my own, I've always wanted to.

And congratulations on the weddings! Kinda stressful isn't it?

Great shots! I agree with Cecily...that first is lookin' like some pure happiness!

I love the stars and as I went walking with the dog tonight I saw a couple of shooting stars! LOVE them! Of course in any star shot I can't help by visualize the star wars saga story rolling through the background! :)

Oh my gosh! That one of your daughter laughing in the leaves is gorgeous! I just had a grandson and want to learn how to get shots that capture him that way. I wonder...what lens do you use for that? Beautiful shots. And the stars! Living in LA, I couldn't catch Persius at all... But these are beautiful. Thanks! Barbara

Wow! The simple amount of stars in the sky amazes me.. I'm bummed that we missed the meteor shower. It was actually overcast here that night but I'm pretty sure we've got way too many city lights to have seen much of anything anyways.
