Christmas Day, 2008

Joy In The Eyes Of Our Princesses

Christmas Morning came at a very slow creep. I myself could hardly sleep; I was too excited for the kids! Finally Izabel woke up! Emily slept in like usual but luckily we were waiting to open gifts until the guests arrived.

I went in and began last minute preparations for breakfast and cleaned up a bit. Gama, Papa and Uncle Doc were due to arrive to watch as the girls opened their gifts. I think breakfast turned out really well. We had a huge spread and Gama even brought her waffle maker. We all sat down at the table and stuffed ourselves full.

It was time to open the presents.

The girls did super well and enjoyed opening their gifts. Emily still wasn't feeling well but she eventually cheered up and joined in. Izabel was so excited that she just kept ripping open the presents, glancing and then moving on. It worked out well because after we were all done, the girls began to sit and open/play with their goodies. It took us nearly 3 hours to open all of the gifts. It was amazing!

Trust me, the girls have played with everything they got, but there seem to be a few favorites. Izabel absolutely loves her Hello Kitty MP3 Player and has taken it everywhere and listened to it a whole lot. Thanks goes to Momma Findings for that. She also loves her Pet Shop and Tag Reading System. Emily hasn't really settled in on much except her Rocking Horse from Ava and her Baby Dolls. BTW, Danette, we found where the batteries go!! LOL!

It was a wonderful Christmas Day. We spent the entire day at home, playing with the toys and eating. Daddy played with his new DVD player and I hit the jackpot with a new Singer Sewing Machine. I'm starting my first project already and I am so nervous! LOL!

We hope all of you had a wonderful day with your family as well.

We are now in the final countdown to New Years, Our trip to Disney in 3 weeks and then Izabels's 3rd Birthday. We are going to start the New Year being busy, busy!

It's funny - I'm always awake before the kids too. Mine at 4, 6, and 11 sleep until at least 7:30 a.m.! It's too funny. Love the mp3 player. Disney sounds like so much fun too!
