Caution: Clothing Required

Nothing like work, illness and cold weather to throw a girl off! Things have been rather crazy around here lately. I'm losing precious minutes during the day and I am at a loss as to where they are going!

The weather has been very chilly the past week or so and it's been great! We are so excited for Fall! Of course, I'd be more excited had the girls been prepared. Poor Izzy has ZERO Fall/Winter clothing. None! Zilch! Nada! I have done a poor job at stocking up for upcoming seasons and sizes. Emily of course is set to go because all of Izabel's previous Fall/Winter clothes are fitting her. That was a good thing. I just had Daddy get in the attic and get them.

Izabel didn't even have a jacket or a long sleeve shirt for goodness sake! She had one pair of jeans. I managed to find her 2 pairs of pants and a Winter coat at the goodwill on Sunday. Wait till you see the coat! It's so cute! It's a suede GAP coat and it is adorable! Especially for the low price of $6.40.

So this weekend I am on a mission to find the girls some clothes. The nights are in the 40's and with the rain the past few days, the daytime temps are only in the 60's and 70's. It's nice, but the kids need to be wearing warmer attire. Izzy needs everything from jammies to shoes and Emmy just needs a few pieces here and there. Wish me luck!

Fall clothes shopping with girls-- now that is heaven (I had four boys first and they don't care much for clothes shopping).
Have a great time!

I had the same problem and I ended up having to take my 13 year old Sunday to the mall because he has grown 3-4" since last year. While I was there, Macy's had a great sale going on for the little ones. I bought Carson 5 outfits and a couple pairs of jeans and paid about $85.00. So if your in doubt, try Macy's. To make matters worse, Carson is in that in between stage so at the end of winter, I will be looking for clothes to fit him for the next size up. I will get it together and learn how to buy off the clearance for the NEXT season.

Take care,

Kaci

I too am having to buy new fall clothing for Kaden. I did start about a month ago so we have been pretty lucky, but what I would give to be able to buy PINK clothes. I love girl clothes. Oh well, now I get to go shopping for another boy pretty soon...but no pink. I wish I could help you out, but I don't think the girls would want to wear boy clothing : ).

If you have a Gap near you, they are having a fabulous sale. I stocked up on quite a bit.

We went to soccer practice the other day and it was only 63 degrees! Who knew it was that chilly in the evenings??

I'm behind on fall/winter shopping too. At least, we still have some time here in Texas.

That's a heck of a deal on the coat. Maybe I need to hit Goodwill!
