Silly Monkey Story Tuesday- Link Toss

Last Saturday we took Emmy to CMH Urgent Care for a sudden diaper rash. I wasn't able to get into the PED so Urgent Care was the next best thing.

All of us went because we were de-bugging our house. We were there shortly after they opened and hoped that it wouldn't take long to get in and out. (Yeah, well that is another story altogether!)

So we finally get back to a room and we are waiting. I begin to fill out the least amount of medical paperwork ever! and Daddy is holding Emily. Emily starts to fuss a little so I whip out the only toy I brought with me; a red linky-do link.

Emily takes the link and steers it directly to her mouth. Not tasting what she really wanted, she threw the link on the floor...and that is when it began.

Emily (and the rest of us) began laughing. The look on her face when the link hit the floor was priceless. It was like a light when on and she knew this could be a game. She thought it was absolutely hilarious to drop the link, watch someone pick it, and then drop it again.

For those of you who are not aware, Princess Emmy is not easily amused by anyone other than her sister Izabel. When Emily started laughing out loud, it was great! She continued to drop the link only to have someone else pick it up so she could do it over and over.

Pretty soon our almost 9 month old was throwing that link across the room, all while laughing. It was the funniest thing to watch and amazing to hear her laugh. I laughed so hard I cried.

Izabel got in on the laughs too and the more she laughed, the more Emmy laughed.

Leave it to our Princesses to make the waiting so much fun!

What a great story! There's nothing sweeter than the sound of a young child laughing. I'm glad she made the long wait fun. Did everything go okay with the rest of the visit?

What a beautiful story! I agree with Karen, nothing more heartwarming than the sound of a happy child laughing. Thanks for sharing this with us!

How sweet. I'd love a ring tone of my kids' laughs-- they send the grumpies away.
