Not So Itsy Bitsy Spider Webs

Early this morning the fog was heavy. The air was cool and everything seemed wet and sticky. While sitting on the front deck I spotted many webs that were shining through the fog. Everywhere I looked, in every nook and cranny and every tree, there was a web. There were many different sizes, but most were large, detailed pieces of woven traps.

Living where we do, spiders are like pets; indoors and out. There is always a spider lurking somewhere in my path. I really don't like spiders, but I find their webs to be intriguing. It's amazing how they form their webs and more amazing as to where each web connects. Sometimes they almost appear to be suspended in mid air.

I tried for a long time this morning to get some photos and I was able to get a few. The quality is not very good but I think you can get the idea.

Do you have photos of spider webs? If so I'd love to see them. There are also five more photos on FLICKR!

The webs are really cool to look at, but I shudder at how many spiders there are on that tree. EEEK!!!
