Life; It's Just Happening

As promised, I'm here to tell you about the busy weekend we had. It's been so hot and humid that doing anything at all is an accomplishment in itself.

Saturday Daddy and I left the girls with Gama and Papa and spent the evening gallivanting around town like adults. We did some shopping and then went to eat at one of our favorite restaurants; Senor Tequila. They have some of the best authentic Mexcian food. It was so yummy! I even had an adult drink; A Pina Colada Daiquiri. The girls were good for the grandparents even though Emmy was still feeling icky on on her first round of pain meds. She slept most of the time, woke up to eat and then was asleep by the time Daddy and I returned. She continued to sleep through the night!

Sunday Greg finished our bathroom and it looks fabulous! We only have a little bit of touch up to do on the ceiling and we can call that room complete. I picked out a new "do" and color scheme and I am so happy with it.

We painted the window, hung a blind to keep the peepers at bay, painted and hung trim, a new shower curtain, towels and towel bars. I am very pleased with what we were able to accomplish and Daddy worked so hard!

Monday and today we hung out at home. I am still not feeling very well and Emily's doing so much better, but she's not over whatever it is she has. I went to the doctor again today and I'm still not over with my issues either. Turns out that I have a kidney infection, even after antibiotics and major water drinking the past 20 days or so. The doctors were trying to come up with a plan, but I haven't heard anything back yet. Hopefully, first thing in the morning they will have decided to treat me with another round of oral antibiotics are send me HOME with an IV in place and a Home Health Nurse checking on me everyday. Wouldn't that be nice?!

I think that pretty much sums up the last four days. The girls have been hot and that kinda puts a damper in the day. Our little window unit isn't the best but maybe in another year or two we can have central air installed. One can dream! I haven't taken a lot of pictures of the girls these last few days, but I did happen to capture one of Emmy, a garden hose and a few more over in FLICKR...Enjoy!

That last picture is just precious!! And I love the color scheme for your bathroom. Pink and brown are two of my favorite colors to put together.
