Quick Update

On Monday we took Izabel to see her regular pediatrician. For the last week she has been almost impossible to handle and I was certain it had something to do with her leg. She hadn't slept for days and her emotions were just all over the place. The doctor thinks she is having some difficulty adjusting to her limited mobility as well as some itching and discomfort from the cast. A prescription was given and angels blessed this house last night. Izabel seemed slightly less agitated last night and for the first time in over a week, she slept...all night...through the night...in her bed! I am so grateful for having slightly more sleep than usual. It's almost 930am here and Izabel continues to sleep. We will see how today goes and I will continue to administer the scrip. I hate seeing her this way.

In other news I have a runny nose, headache and sore throat. Emily woke up this morning congested in her chest and sneezing with a runny nose. I've started my regiment of cold remedies in hopes to kick it fast however Emily can only have saline drops in her nose. I thought this stuff was over! Let's hope this round is gone fast! I've got things to do!

I'll try to get some pictures up later. I let Emily try some rice cereal this morning to celebrate her 5 month Birthday, but she wanted absolutely nothing to do with the food. I took a couple of pics though. It was so funny to see her in the highchair; she doesn't fit so well. I think she is still a little small for it. I've been looking for a replacement high chair and I think I have found the one I want. Check out the link below. As much as I love the old wooden ones, they are harder to clean and not as comfy for an infant as a high chair could be. Hopefully later this summer we can upgrade.

More Later Today!

Poor Izzy! That has to be so tough. My Lily broke her arm when she was 2 and a half and despised the cast.

Hope you and Emily are felling better soon!

Oh, so I'm not the only one with a specially made wall hanging from Maine. Doesn't she do great work?
