Home Nurse Visit

The home nurse came today to check up on Emily Rose and I. I am doing fine, incision looks good, blood pressure is fine, and I am well rested. The pain is still there, but we are giving it a few more days before we go back to the doctor.

Emily Rose is also doing well. Her temp was 98.3 degrees and her color, reflexes, and such all turned up great. Her jaundice results came back from the routine check at the hospital and she is way low on the scale; no jaundice. She has not made her way back to birth weight yet. She only weighed in today at 6 Pounds, 15 Ounces. She's not that far off but should get back up soon. Her eating habits are okay but she needs to eat more. She remains at 2 ounces every 3 hours or so. Her choice, not mine. The last couple of days she has gone 4-5 hours without eating, but then when waking she still won't take more than 1-2 ounces. There are no concerns, we just want her to take a little more. Her blood type was revealed to us and it appears as though Emily and I share the same type. Izabel has her Daddy's. (That explains a lot!)

APGAR results were 9 out of 10 and 9 out of 10. (yeah!!!)

Emily will have her first pediatrician visit on Friday of this week.
